Performing an IMSI Lookup
The International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) is a unique id associated with all GSM and UMTS network mobile phone users. It is coded as a 13 to 15 digit long field on the SIM-Card inside the phone.
The first three digits represent the Moble Country Code (MCC), which is followed by the Mobile Network Code (MNC) with either 3 digits (North American standard) or 2 digits (European standard). The remaining digits represent the Mobile Subscription Identification Number (MSIN) within the mobile operator's customer base.
You can obtain the the IMSI of a cell phone number (MSISDN) by performing an HLR lookup. IMSI lookups are possible using the following routes.
